Exercise class
Join us for warmup moves, static balancing, stretches, strength-building and throwing games, followed by tea/ coffee. This class can be a lively workout, or less demanding, as many of the exercises can be done while seated on a chair. Wednesday mornings, 10.15 – 11.15 a.m. at St James Parish Centre, Carlisle.

Exercise Class and Coffee
This is a weekly class, led by a qualified physiotherapist, and open to anyone with Parkinson’s. It is held at St James Parish Centre, St James Road, Carlisle CA2 5PD. There is a side room with armchairs where companions can wait. The venue is easy to find and there is disk parking outside.
We have a regular get-together after the class with coffee/tea on the first Wednesday of each month. Coffee/ tea are now available every week, for companions who are waiting in the side room, or for class members who want it after their exercise.
If you want to join please contact the class trainer Mike Salkeld – (info@northlakesphysio.com or 07947 918063). You should wear flat shoes and loose clothes, and bring an exercise mat or something similar, such as a blanket. The contribution for each session varies, depending on how many people attend. It has been £3-4, and recently as low as £2 – the class has grown!
If you have been advised to be careful with physical activity, consult your medical professional before starting any new form of exercise.
