Carlisle Branch

What is a “branch”? The clue is in the name. We do a variety of things in different places, but we are still all one Branch. A Branch spreads out, but it joins together too. That is its strength.

Good for a Branch:

light – information, knowledge, advice.

air – fresh ideas, openness, confidence.

warmth – a welcome, reassurance, sharing.

roots – people affected by Parkinson’s, the local community, health and care services, Parkinson’s UK .

Not good for a branch:

Our Committee

“The day-to-day management of local groups” is done by lead volunteers. As Carlisle’s local group is a Branch, it has a Committee. “All management committee members must be elected by their branch members at its AGM or an EGM…” (For more details, see the “Local Group Rules”)

Committee elected by members of the Carlisle Branch at the Annual General meeting on 21st February 2017:

We hope to fill the role of Secretary in the near future.
