Activities

Look in the “Activities” pages for details about regular Carlisle Branch activities. These happen every week or month, or nearly.

If there is a break in the activity, these pages will tell you.

Please check the update in “Latest news”, as cancellations may be announced there.

Our activities include exercise classes, meetings with a speaker, and informal get-togethers. We welcome anyone affected by Parkinson’s – people with Parkinson’s, family members, carers, professionals or friends. There is no need to join the Branch or to be a member, and several activities are free.

Some activities are specially for people with Parkinson’s. If there is room, accompanying family or friends may be able to take part, or may prefer to wait nearby. These activities are subsidised and there will usually be just a small charge. In some of these pages, you will find the name of someone who can tell you more. Please contact him/her before joining the activity for the first time.

Some branches have other kinds of activity, such as book discussions, art and craft groups, or singing. If you would be interested in starting a new activity for a few people, please speak to a Committee member about your idea.
